13. Conveyance, Assignment, or Instrument of any kind or description whatsoever not specially charged with Duty under. this Schedulo executed for the transfer for valuable consideration of any Property, moveable or immoveable or of any Right, Title, Claim or Interest in, to, or upon the same,
Deed or other Instrument of Gift, or of Exchange or Settle- ment where no Money consideration or a merely Nominal Money consideration passes,
EXEMPTION.
Transfer by mere Endorsement of a duly stamped Bill of Ex- change, Promissory Note or other Negotiable Instrument, or of a Bill of Lading, and Transfer by Assignment of a Policy of In-
surance.

GENERAL EXEMPTIONS.
Any Deed, Instrument or Writing of any kind whatsoever made or executed by or on behalf of Her Majesty or of any De- partment of Her Majesty's Service, or whereby any Property or Interest is transferred to or any Contract of any kind whatsoever is made with Her Majesty or any Person for or on behalf of Her Majesty or any such Department as aforesaid, and any Power of Attorney or Authority given by any Government Officer for the receipt of his Salary of Allowances by any other Person.
NOTE. The foregoing exemption does not extend to any Leed, Instrument or Writing, executed by the Registrar of the Supreme Court as Official Administrator or by a Receiver appointed by any Court or to any Deed Ins- trument or Writing rendered necessary by any Ordinance or by the Order of any Court; neither does it extend to
a sale maile for the recovery of an arrear of Revenue or Rent or in satisfaction of a Decree or Order of Court, in any of which cases the purchaser shall be required to pay in addition to the purchase money the amount of the requisite Stamp.
